Morgan's Welding excels in crafting versatile and reliable riveted grates and frames that seamlessly fit together to provide a secure and robust solution. Riveted grates and frames are commonly used in various applications, including industrial facilities, public infrastructure, and private properties, where durability and safety are paramount. These products are designed to withstand significant wear and tear, making them ideal for both pedestrian and non-pedestrian environments. Our manufacturing process, combined with the use of high-quality materials, ensures that the grates and frames meet the demanding needs of their diverse applications.
Infrastructure and construction contractors have come to rely on our company for a wide variety of both grating and related fabricated steel items.
Morgan’s Welding works with our sister company, Laurel Custom Grating, to provide municipal focused grating services for communities throughout the United States. In addition to Pennsylvania, we have also supplied standard state-approved items to Maryland, Delaware, Ohio, New York, and West Virginia.
Morgan's Welding manufactures riveted grates, a versatile product with sizes ranging from 2" to 4" in height. These grates are crafted using a precise hydraulic process that compresses rivets during assembly, ensuring durability and reliability. The rivets function as fail-safe fasteners, requiring physical cutting for removal.
Our manufacturing process involves custom-formed components shaped by specialized punch presses and forming dies. These grates are designed to be bike-safe and traffic-rated, with flat bar banding welded to the ends for enhanced structural integrity. Some models feature additional support angles underneath and bolting tabs for secure installation.
Benefits of utilizing riveted grates include having robust construction and being aesthetically appealing. Many municipalities favor riveted grates over fully welded alternatives due to their unique characteristics. To complete the manufacturing process, Morgan's Welding typically applies a galvanized finish to these grates and frames, further enhancing their durability and resistance to corrosion.
To compliment our riveted grates, welded frames can be made to match whatever shape or style of grating that is used. Typically our riveted grates are secured direclty into their frames, whereas others simply sit on the lip of the framework. The Morgan's approach ensures more stability over use using the lip as a seat for the grate to sit on.
