We offer various different specialized products such as inlet and manhole risers, trash racks, junction boxes, and orifice plates. All of these specialty items can be designed and manufactured to your exact specifications.
These are frames that are used to hold grating in place to an existing inlet or frame when repaved roadways are constructed. Often times, they are used in repaving situations where everything in the roadway must be raised to match the repaving height. In circumstances where the existing inlet and frame are staying in place, an inlet riser is used and placed over top of the existing structure and bolted to secure it to the existing inlet or frame. Generally, these risers are finished with a bituminous coating.
Similar to inlet risers, however manhole risers are used to raise manhole lids instead of grating. Manhole risers are sent through a rolling machine and rolled to make round rings to accommodate a round manhole lid. The rise, or height, of both inlet risers and manhole risers are determined based upon the customer specs and/or roadway height increase. These are also finished with a bituminous coating.
Our trash racks can be made to order in various sizes, shapes, and specs. These are often used on water inlets to prevent debris from entering, clogging, or hindering the drainage of water. Sometimes, the trash racks have access panels on them and are mainly secured using bolting anchors so that they may be removed for cleaning, inspecting, or maintenance. We also refer to these as trash screens, guard bar units, or childproof safety guards. All of which serve the same general purpose. Can be made using carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. These racks are also finished with a bituminous coating, galvanization, plain, or epoxy coated.
Used in a variety of wiring applications. Generally, in-ground units where multiple wires are run through conduit in the ground and into junction boxes for access to multiple wires and cabling. Commonly used for communication lines, highway lighting, cabling for buildings, roadway intersections for traffic lights, or general electrical applications. Usually, these junction boxes have a galvanized finish on them which is used as a rust inhibitor.
Made from plate steel, stainless steel, or aluminum—our orifice plates may also be finished with a bituminous coating, galvanization, or shipped plain. This product is used as cover plates for water inlet/outlet holes to control the CFM (cubic feet per minute) of water flow. Holes can be applied to the orifice plates for mounting purposes or paired with angle iron that is mounted to the concrete surface and the plate simply slips between the angles to hold it in place. Sizes of plate, thickness of plate, and hole dimensions vary depending on customer specifications.
